What Our Customers Say
El Farolito gets real busy — a lot of people like to eat here. The workers are fast and efficient. Burrito is big and banging with flavor. The salsa bar is the move.
The steak quesadillas were grilled to a perfect golden brown with seasoned steak. Portions are massive — we split one quesadilla and a burrito between three people and still had leftovers.
This was one of the BEST burritos I've ever had. The al pastor super burrito and some chips came out to less than $10. I'll be coming back every time I'm in SF.
The Steak Super Suiza quesadilla is my go-to — overflowing with cheese, drippy meat, and all the fixings. This is my favorite place in San Francisco to get quesadillas. Never disappointed.
Super Burrito with Steak — for the size, price and flavor, it was to die for. The line moves fast and the staff is efficient. Cash only but there's an ATM inside.
Carnitas Super Burrito has been super bomb for 20 years. Nothing compares to the quality and deliciousness of this legend.
Veggie burrito at 2am with chips and salsa is transformational. It's the difference between waking up hungover and waking up completely coherent. This place saves lives on Friday nights.
The chile relleno plate is awesome — cheese-stuffed pepper on a large oval platter with salad, about a third of an avocado, Mexican rice, sour cream, and refried beans with cheese on top.
Came here at 2am after dancing and the hype is absolutely real. The nachos are loaded and the flautas are crispy perfection. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. A San Francisco institution.
You come for the massive tacos al pastor, but the salsas do the heavy lifting. The verde is lighter, herb-forward, made for countering the rich meats. Hit the salsa bar hard — it's half the reason people come back.
Visited on a Thursday at 5:30pm. Super Burrito for $8.25 — incredible value. The line moved fast and the staff was efficient. Just remember: cash only! Open super late which is a huge plus.
Super quesadilla without meat was just GREAT. For around $9 I got 2 full quesadillas with sour cream, avocado, and beans. Best meatless deal in the Mission.
As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with my burrito. The tortilla was perfectly pressed, and the balance of beans, rice, cheese, and veggies was spot on. The verde salsa is my favorite — grab extra. It reheats beautifully the next day too.
The quesadilla was perfectly done — crispy outer layer with avocado, sour cream, tomato, onion, cilantro, ALL the cheese, and meat packed inside. I was super impressed they use actual avocado slices, not guacamole.
First time visiting and I was blown away. The staff was incredibly kind and patient. I got the Al Pastor Super Burrito for under $10 — it's easily one of the BEST burritos I've ever had. I'll be coming back every time I'm in the Mission.
The carnitas taco is a great place to start here. Nicely sized and worth the price. We also split a super burrito with carnitas — the meat is savage and salty, and the avocado slices cool everything down.
I ordered the Super Burrito with Pollo Asado. The chicken was fresh, juicy, and well-seasoned. Every bite had a perfect mix of beans, rice, sour cream, cheese, and slices of fresh avocado. If you're going during peak hours, I recommend calling ahead or arriving early.
The super burrito is roughly the length of a forearm. All items evenly distributed and they are not skimpy with the meat unlike other spots. Ideal ratios of sour cream, avocado, and cheese. About ten bucks.
The quesadilla portions are absolutely massive — easily enough for two people. I also tried the burrito with steak, though the steak was slightly overcooked. Still, the value you get for the price is hard to beat anywhere in the city.
Breakfast burritos with chorizo AND bacon — big enough for a light breakfast and then the second half as lunch. The quesadillas are very big and filling too. Overall, we love an El Faro burrito!
The nachos are a meal in itself — loaded and more fun to eat with a group. Honestly, I would rate even higher if I was just going off the nachos alone. Don't sleep on them.
I ordered the Supreme Chorizo Burrito and all of my dreams came true. Seriously — everything on the menu is incredible. This is the real deal, authentic Mission District Mexican food.
The enchiladas are incredibly fragrant and tasty — generous portions too. One of the restaurant's real strengths beyond the burritos. The rice is properly seasoned and the beans are on point.
This is my favorite vegan burrito in town — the rice is what sets it apart. Nicely pressed tortilla, delicious mixture of beans and Mexican rice with avocado. Super veggie burrito is under five bucks. Can't beat it.
